For almost 100 years, our small shop is located right in the heart of Vienna, in between the famous State Opera and St. Stephen’s Cathedral. It is one of the oldest shops on Kärntnerstraße, and in the possession of our family for three generations. From its early beginnings, Petit Point and largepoint have been the main goods offered. In the 1960s, Ms. Annegrit KOVACEC decided to focus exclusively on the sale of the finest embroidery – Petit Point.

The artistic richness of Petit Point Kovacec consists of a vast number of hand painted patterns, which serve as the basis for manufacturing the embroidery. Each pattern is a masterpiece in itself, showing floral and figural scenes that almost always have been painted a century ago. This guarantees the authenticity of Petit Point embroidery.
Our goods are being produced in the surroundings of Vienna. Each stitchery requires passion, patience and a high level of dexterity in order to achieve perfection. Thus, we only assign the most competent craftsmen like bag-makers and assemblers who, according to format and size of the stitchery, turn and combine the embroidery into finished goods such as handbags, purses, pictures, make-up mirrors and several other small items.
We cherish ORIGINAL PETIT POINT as ancient Viennese Cultural possessions, which is strongly differentiated from modern mass products, and is a unique and outstanding handcraft for people who esteem art.
